Business Data Warehouse Appliance

The entry-level warehouse focused appliance from the Microsoft and HP partnership targets small data warehouses and data marts.  The appliance is optimised for SQL Server 2008 R2 and provides the best performance possible for data mart and small data warehouse workloads with data volumes of up to 5 TB.

The appliance helps reduce the time and cost of implementing a data warehouse through deployment of an optimised, pre-configured solution that has been designed, tuned and tested by Microsoft and HP.

Installation of the appliance takes little more than 10 minutes which provides an isolated, highly optimised data warehouse environment for businesses with data volumes up to 5 TB.

The Business Data Warehouse Appliance is ideal for smaller businesses that would benefit from a dedicated data warehouse environment, or for larger enterpises that would benefit from quick delivery of, for example, a departmental data mart sourced from an enterprise data warehouse in a 'hub and spoke' style architecture.
