Microsoft Business Intelligence Consultant

An outstanding opportunity to join us and work in partnership with our clients to deliver information solutions that help them make better informed and timely business decisions.

The role will vary depending on the project, but will primarily focus on the delivery of enterprise-level applications in the Business Intelligence arena.

You must be able to carry out SQL Server relational and/or SQL Server BI related tasks to assist with the delivery of business intelligence projects.

Ideally you will have a related degree from a good university and at least 2 years of UK based industry experience delivering SQL Server based solutions, with a good grounding in all associated areas and the ability to hit the ground running.

To fit, you must be dynamic, passionate about the industry and eager to learn new skills. Current and relevant Microsoft Certifications would be an advantage.

This is a client facing position therefore you must have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate in both an oral and written manner at the highest level.

  • Strong T-SQL
  • The SQL Server Platform (2005, 2008, 2012)

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • ASP.NET, C#
  • HTML/CSS

Software/Applications Knowledge

  • Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, IIS 6/7
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Visual SourceSafe

Personal Situation

The ideal candidate must be prepared to travel as this is a consulting role, working on client sites for extended periods. They must be highly motivated to take on additional company responsibilities, learn new skills and be keen to develop their career.
